Transmogrify Heartsurge Exhibition – Awakening

This is my very first exhibit submission for the online art collective Heartsurge and the newest exhibition named: Awakening. For this artwork I used an entirely different way of working, instead of focusing on color I weighed heavily on the composition and the object of focus.

For me this new piece was quite intense because it involved so many images and a heavy flow on masking/blending those images into one. Aside from that I put a lot of effort into the lighting/highlighting and shading of all the elements and giving the entire piece a natural feeling. My interpretation to the theme awakening was that of an object in growth – much like a flower – and I visually expressed that with transmogrifying this individual.
