After having posted some tweets regarding my exposition piece the editors of Advanced Photoshop magazine demanded a better sneak peak of it. Saying that I should take a picture with me standing next to it in order to view it in the right perspective (because of its size: A1format). At the time I didn’t want to disclose the whole thing until after the exposition, however, I was willing to feed their editorial hunger in private with them. Long story, short: after that message they asked me if I was interested in having my exposition piece placed in the mailbox section of their April issue.
Their offer came utterly unexpected and was more then I could have thought to ask. Their interest in my artwork was very motivating already and of course I gladly accepted the offer to have it published in their magazine. So I did as they proposed and had my girlfriend take a picture of me holding the exposition piece. Because the 36th issue of Advanced Photoshop will hit the shelves this week (on the 14th) – during the second week of the exposition – it is the first to display my artwork in its full glory. (Not to worry if you can’t grab a copy and you are in fact interested, I will be publishing it on my website and blog next week as well.)
It might not be an in-depth or long article but it’s an awesome feature nonetheless. (Honestly, for this type of feature I do find it rather long, which is great.) To the editors of the Dutch Advanced Photoshop: much thanks for this feature! I appreciate the support, motivation and of course the extra exposure. Cheers to you all.
Awesome fact to boast about: my work is now published in two magazines this month. It’s featured in the current issues of Publish magazine and Advanced Photoshop magazine and that just feels incredible.
